Maoists now released a 14-page letter giving reasons for killing Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and ex MLA Siveri Soma a few weeks ago. They blamed the two leaders for exploiting tribals in the agency area taking advantage of the local people’s innocence.
The letter was issued in the name of Maoists’ Jagabandhu special zonal committee. They accused the government of trying to mislead the people on the issues of the two leaders’ unlawful activities and their eventual killing.
There has been suspense over why the Maoists have not owned up responsibility for the killings till now.
