Akkineni’s young scion Akhil Akkineni made a massive debut with Akhil and the movie bombed badly at the box-office. The film has been directed by VV Vinayak and Sayesha Saigal played the female lead. Nagarjuna and Akhil have been badly depressed with the film’s result and they decided not to take any risk on his second film. Akhil has been listening to scripts from the past six months but none of them impressed the actor. He rejected close to 20 scripts which may surprise many.
Talented director Hanu Raghavapudi who is running high with the success of Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha narrated a script but Nagarjuna suggested some changes for the story. Taking his time, Hanu narrated the final draft recently which impressed Nag and Akhil on the spot. Nag gave his approval for the film which will start rolling from August.
Nagarjuna also asked Hanu Raghavapudi to take his time for making and he wanted the film to be grand and impressive. Hanu has been delighted and promised Nag that he will sure turn out Akhil’s second film into a blockbuster. The other cast, crew of the movie are currently being finalized. Annapurna Studios will bankroll the project which will hit the screens during the first half of 2017.
