Macho star Gopichand is going through a lean patch with no proper hits. Even though all his recent films left no trace at box office, his upcoming project is being made with a solid budget. It is a known fact that Gopichand joined hands with producer Anil Sunkara for an out and out commercial fare to be helmed by Tamil director Thiru. Reportedly, the film’s budget is said to be more than 35 Crores which is beyond Gopichand’s current market.
Producer Anil Sunkara has decided to take a huge gamble with this untitled film. Sources say that the film will be shot in exotic locales and the producer didn’t bat an eyelid when the director revealed that he needs a hefty budget to can the action episodes of the film. After producing films like Dhookudu and 1 Nennokadine, Anil Sunkara stayed away from dishing out big budget films. He is now very confident of the action centric script and decided to splurge money irrespective of Gopichand’s market. The film will be shot predominantly in Rajasthan and outside India on a grand scale.
It remains to be seen if Gopichand can make a strong comeback with this film or not.
