After smashing several records across the globe with the first installment of Baahubali, master storyteller SS Rajamouli and his team are making all possible efforts to make the much awaited sequel, The Conclusion, a massive hit. The stupendous success of the first part has built an unprecedented buzz on the sequel in all areas. As the first part did a phenomenal business at the box office, the expectations among the trade circles are a notch higher for the sequel and the pre release business is impressive in all areas.
Telugu360 was the first to break the news about the staggering overseas deal signed by Arka Media Works. K-Entertainment, a leading distribution house in Tamil, has acquired the negative rights for the Tamil region and also the overseas rights of Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions for a record price.
Recently, K-Entertainment sold the three language rights of rest of the world for a whopping 27 Crores. Now, looking for a solid deal with the US and Canada rights. It is exclusively learnt that the distribution house is quoting around 46 Crores for the North American rights. The package includes the rights of Telugu , Tamil and Malayalam versions. As of now,there are no takers but K – Entertainment is confident that the heavy expectations on the film will attract buyers and they are looking to sell the rights for a hefty price. The first part performed exceptionally well and collected solid figures in overseas. So,there is a huge buzz on the conclusion in overseas trade circles.
We have to wait and see if buyers come forward and close the deal for the quoted price. Baahubali 2 is slated to hit the screens in Summer next year.
