AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy has not so far lived up to the expectations of poor people regarding delivery of Cash Transfer Welfare benefits. Jagan’s credibility in this respect is coming down drastically with each passing day. Farmers are also cursing the government for making them go round and round panchayat offices to take benefits under Rythu Bharosa. Lot of farmers are yet to enjoy this benefit. The other Navaratnalu programmes for mothers, students and others are yet to begin. There is no money to carry out these programmes. Rajanna Canteens are not being opened in place of Anna Canteens. Lakhs of poor workers have lost their work opportunities. They include constructions workers, plumbers, electricians, masons, rob benders and so on. Poor families are cursing YCP rule for closing down even Anna Canteens where they used to eat whole family together at just Rs. 5 per meal.
On the other hand, Jagan Reddy has set a big record in demolitions and destructions. He has begun his anti-development mission with demolition of Praja Vedika. Then he successfully obstructed and stopped the Polavaram project works by creating hurdles. Later, he stopped Anna Canteens. Most of all, Jagan’s biggest dubious achievement is demolition of Amaravati global city. He did this despite having no clue on where to shift and how to construct the Andhra Capital.
