Enough is Enough, Quit Hyd : KCR Tells Naidu

Sensing politics in the Chandrababu Naidu’s extended dalliance with Hyderabad, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao asked the former to vacate the Telangana capital immediately. He used the occasion of Congress leader D Srinivas’ joining TRS to advise Naidu to move closer to the vast stretch of land between Anantapur and Srikakulam.

“You should be concerned more about the development of your state.  You have a bigger state.  You can boss over there instead of clinging to Hyderabad,” KCR said in the meeting of party workers in his inimitable sarcasm.

KCR is peeved at TDP’s recent change of tack with regard to Hyderabad.  First Naidu was eager to relocate the capital to Vijayawada area. Dozens of teams of officers, ministers, scouted Vijayawada and Guntur towns for suitable location to shift the some important departments. Scores of meetings held with representatives of NGOs connected to persuade them shift to temporary capital.Even a township near Managalagiri had also been identified for building a temporary administrative colony. Expression of Interest to build the township had also been invited. But suddenly, the talk of temporary capital disappeared. Especially after the court directive to Telangana government that the elections to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) should be held before mid-December 2015.

KCR’s plan is to see that Naidu left Hyderabad before GHMC elections. His impatience is stemming from the unlikelihood of latter’s migration to temporary capital.

“You have thirteen districts to roll around. Stop conspiring in our area. You are caught redhanded in the cash-for-vote scam. When we contemplate action you make a hue and cry. We won’t tolerate this,” he said.
