Hyderabad has now become a truly global city with all necessary infrastructure facilities. Then the question arises as to what is the contribution of KCR for the development of Telangana capital city. He is at the helm of affairs as CM for the past four and half years. There is this allegation that CM Chandrasekhara Rao has constructed nothing worthwhile for increasing the glory of Hyderabad except that he built a farm house for himself to relax.
The farm house of KCR located on the outskirts of the city has become one of the points of criticism for ‘Prajakutami’ opposition allies. People are naturally drawing comparisons about which chief minister has served well to increase the value of Hyderabad city. Then the name of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu comes up unavoidably as his role in developing air connecting with international airport, IT infrastructure etc is unquestioned. This is why Naidu time and again recalls his contributions while asking KCR to showcase one single landmark institution that he has added to the crown of Hyderabad during his regime.
Naidu’s contributions to Cyberabad development in Hightech City are also noteworthy which is why many software professionals living there have arrived in large numbers to make CBN’s election tours there a huge success. He has appealed to them to help the TDP candidates win in Kukatpally and Serilingampally segments by campaigning during week-ends. TRS leaders are found left with very little to counter these arguments over city development. KCR faces a hard time convincing city voters as before.
