‘Happy Days’ remained a cinema title: Jana Sena leader

Kakinada: Pawan Kalyan has said that the ‘Happy Days’ has remained as a cinema title but not in the lives of the people. He is referring to the tall promises and remarks made by Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu boasting the Modi government’s welfare schemes across the country.

Stating that he has no personal vendetta or feud against Venkaiah Naidu, Pawan Kalyan asked Venkaiah to forgive him because the fight is on against the Centre for the way it betrayed the youth of Andhra Pradesh by denying special status. “I’ve no personal grudge against you, please forgive me,” Pawan said.
Venkaiah Naidu cannot save his face, if he doesn’t fight in the interest of Seemandhra people, he warned.

He was addressing ‘Atma Ghourva Sabha’, a massive public meeting held at JNTU grounds in Kakinada on Friday. Stating that he had solely extended support to the TDP-BJP alliance from the heart during the elections, Pawan Kalyan said no Jana Sena activist in the meeting would forgive the acts if the people had to be betrayed.

Pawan also urged TDP MP Avanthi Srinivas to quit his MP post if the latter is really striving for the welfare of North Andhra people. “I request Avanthi Srinivas to tender resignation for the interests of the people, I will make you win in the coming elections,” he challenged.

Telangana leaders too have their share: Pawan Kalyan

Kakinada: Jana Sena founder and Tollywood actor K Pawan Kalyan has alleged that leaders hailing from Telangana were also responsible for the plight of backwardness of the newly-carved State.

He was addressing scores of his supporters and fans gathered at a public meeting organised in Kakinada town on Friday. Stating that he has no feeling for grief after formation of Telangan State, the Jana Sena leader questioned the BJP government as to why it had taken 14 years to divide Andhra Pradesh since the BJP made a statement in 1997.

Taking the names of former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State Marri Chenna Reddy and senior Congress leader K. Jana Reddy, Pawan refuted the argument that only leaders of Andhra were responsible for the State’s backwardness. “I am deeply hurt with the words – Andhra leaders plundered the wealth of Telangana.” he said.

Many innocent lives were cut down in their prime only due due to opportunistic politics played by the leaders, he regretted. Now the politicians of Andhra Pradesh have lost their faces in Delhi due to opportunistic politics, he alleged.

“Uttarani ahankaram pi naa poratam (my fight is against the arrogance of the Centre – BJP government),” thundered Pawan Kalyan.
