Credit it to the confidence given by the success of their first two production ventures (Srimanthudu and Janatha Garage) or the faith in the combo of Naga Chaitanya and director Chandoo Mondeti, Mythri Movie Makers is sort of gambling with ‘Savyasachi’.
Mythri Movie Makers, who are bankrolling Ram Charan’s ‘Rangasthalam’ as their third production venture, have recently announced their 4th film, ‘Savyasachi’. Chandoo of ‘Kartikeya’ and ‘Premam’ fame will direct this film, which is touted to be a taut thriller, starring Naga Chaitanya in lead role.
Our sources have divulged that the budget of the film is 27 crore to start with. And, it is likely to shot up to Rs 30 crore by the time the film gets wrapped up, thus making it the highest budgeted film in Chaitu’s career. Isn’t Mythri taking a risk by investing such high budget on Chaitu, who has only one Rs 25+ crore (Ra Randoi Veduka Cheddam, which ended up somewhere around 26 crore) worldwide share movie to his credit?
Actually, another NRI producer had the dates of Naga Chaitanya and he was supposed to produce Chaitu-Chandoo Mondeti combo project. He however backed off after the director quoted close to 30 crore budget. He was unsure about the Akkineni hero’s ability of recovering such high budget.
The title and title poster nonetheless look extremely promising. Mythri might be having huge confidence in Chandoo’s script and Chaitu’s steadily growing stardom.
