Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu commands a huge fan following among Telugus in USA. This is one of the reasons why a charity event has been planned by MAA with Mahesh Babu as chief guest. The event which was supposed to be held on this 27th has been cancelled due to poor response for tickets from audience there.
Though the organisers are stating that the event was cancelled due to security issues, it is clear that there is no sufficient sale of tickets to go ahead with the plans. It is reliably learnt that poor event management planning is the reason behind the disappointing response from audience.
As MAA team involved in a acrimonious dispute over Chiranjeevi’s event in US earlier this year, they wanted to plan Mahesh Babu’s event with much more care. The association wanted to hire a professional event manager for this event. However, it was Meher Ramesh and a couple of his friends who approached Namrata and assured her to make this event a big success. Trusting them, Namrata gave consent to organise the event even though MAA advised not to do so. But, due to the poor planning by Meher Ramesh’s team, the response for tickets sales is very lukewarm, forcing them to cancel the event. Had there been an experienced event manager, the charity show would have been organised in a grand manner.
Sources say that Namrata is very upset with Meher Ramesh’s shoddy planning and furious over the cancellation of this prestigious event which is a body blow to Mahesh Babu and MAA reputation.
