Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ambitious patriotic drama SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy is getting ready for release on October 2nd. This much awaited film is creating ripples in domestic market with stunning pre release business in Telugu states. However, the overseas business is a matter of concern for the makers as there are no buyers.
SyeRaa makers have pegged the overseas rights initially at 25 Crores considering its high budget and solid craze. But, no distributor came forward to snap the rights. Even at 20 Crores, they couldn’t close the deal. Renowned overseas distribution house Phars Films has offered 15 Crores for rights. But producer Ram Charan is not willing to close the deal at that price. He is looking for better offers. As the release date is fast approaching and prior planning is required for getting a wide release in overseas, the makers of SyeRaa should plan judiciously to get a good release there.
Ram Charan is still in a dilemma regarding the overseas rights. SyeRaa being a prestigious and big budget project, Charan cannot wait too long and mess up with the premiers. They need to finalize the deal well in advance to get good number of screens in overseas. Will they wake up and make sure that the film gets solid openings in overseas ? We have to wait and see.
