Superstar Rajinikanth who tasted a string of debacles has all his hopes on 2.0, a sci fi thriller directed by Shankar. The film is hitting the screens on November 29th and is made on a massive budget close to Rs 600 crores. Rajinikanth also wrapped up the shoot of his next film titled Petta in the direction of Karthik Subbaraj in record time and the film is currently in post-production stages.
The makers of Petta announced that the film would hit the screens during Sankranthi 2019. But they are in plans to push the release of Petta to summer as they are not in a mood for two back to back releases of Rajinikanth in a cap of 45 days. Also, if Petta is released for Sankranthi, the makers will find it tough to get a decent release across Telugu states as there are a bunch of Telugu films lined up. Hence the film’s producers are in plans to push the release of Petta. Sun Pictures produced this action thriller in which Rajinikanth will be seen essaying two different shades.
