Akkineni Nagarjuna reunited with maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma after more than two decades. The duo is currently working for an intense cop drama titled as Officer which is on the verge of completion.
A few days ago, news regarding the pre release business of Officer has cropped up in media circles. It has been reported that the theatrical rights of Officer have been sold for a whopping amount. Trade circles are very much surprised with this news. However, the makers of Officer quickly quashed the rumours about the business deal.
Close sources to the production house revealed the real reason behind these rumours. Initially, a noted distributor came forward with a 12 Crore offer for the theatrical rights of Officer. But, he backed out after the release of first look. To do damage control, the production house of Officer has denied the news of selling the rights.
Officer is slated for release on May 25th.
