It’s “Party” time in Tamil Nadu. Another brother of AIADMK leader Sasikala, V Dhivakaran, launched new political party titled ‘Anna Dravida Kazhagam’
It is known news that Sasikala’s nephew T T V Dhinakaran, had floated new party with title “ Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK)” after being sidelined from AIADMK. He contested and elected as legislator from RK Nagar in Chennai, the constituency from where Jayalalitha represented earlier.
Now Dhivakaran, brother of Sasikala, floated his ‘Anna Dravidar Kazhagam’, named after Annadurai, the political mentor of Karunanidhi and MGR. Dhivakaran, introduced his party flag with red and black stripes, with an added green star in the centre. He spoke to media and said, he would be the ADK’s party’s general secretary.
This Dhivakaran is not in good terms with Sasikala as well as Dinakaran for quite some time. He accused Dhinakaran as ‘power hungry’ and his aspirations had caused to the split in AIADMK after the demise of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. We will have to wait and see if this new party will be able to garner support of people or not
