Shailaja Reddy Alludu is gearing up for a grand release on August 31st 2018. The film is getting good offers from distributors which are highest for a Naga Chaitanya Starrer till date. Andhra Area is being sold in 9 Cr ratio while ceeded rights are given for 3.50 Cr as a compensation for Agnyaathavaasi. It is releasing through Dil Raju in Nizam Area on advance basis which will be in the range of 6-6.5 Cr. Overseas rights are acquired by La Telugu for 3 Cr. Rest Of India distributors are still in negotiations where the film is estimated to get 2 Cr. Overall, the film will be sold for 23-24 Cr worldwide excluding expenses. After including expenses it will be in the range of 25-26 Cr. The film has to beat Naga Chaitanya’s current biggest grosser Rarandoi Veduka Chudham for the distributors to Breakeven.
From title to posters, Ramya Krishna all the way in SRA
After making a remarkable comeback with Baahubali, seasoned actor Ramya Krishna turned out to be the most sought after character artist for prominent roles in Tollywood.
She is essaying a crucial role in Maruthi’s Shailaja Reddy Alludu which has Naga Chaitanya in the lead role. It seems Ramya Krishna is going to be the driving factor behind this family entertainer. Naga Chaitanya is juggling between the sets of Savyasachi and Shailaja Reddy Alludu. Both the films are in final stages and Shailaja Reddy Alludu will hit the screens first. This Maruthi directorial is a romantic entertainer and the entire shoot of the film has been wrapped up. The makers are in plans to release the film on August 31st and the promotions of Shailaja Reddy Alludu will kick-start soon. The first teaser of Shailaja Reddy Alludu is already ready.
The teaser reveals about the lead characters and will last for 30 seconds. Anu Emmanuel is the female lead and Ramya Krishna will be seen in a pivotal role. Shailaja Reddy Alludu is a clean family entertainer and the last song which has been left will be shot in Goa or Hyderabad soon. Young music sensation for Venky Mama
Victory Venkatesh and his nephew Naga Chaitanya are teaming up for a comic entertainer which has been launched officially recently. Bobby will direct this film which has been tentatively titled Venky Mama. The regular shoot of this comic entertainer will commence from August 8th in Hyderabad. Bobby wanted Devi Sri Prasad to compose the tunes for the film but DSP’s packed schedules and the whopping remuneration made the makers re-think about the composer.
Young music sensation SS Thaman has been finalized to compose the tunes for Venky Mama. Thaman will start working for the film soon. While Rakul Preet Singh has been finalized to romance Chaitanya, the other female lead is yet to be finalized. People Media Factory, Kona Film Corporation and Suresh Productions will jointly produce the film. The makers are keen on releasing Venky Mama during the first half of 2019.
Divyansha Kaushik to romance Chaitu
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are all set to team up together for a romantic entertainer directed by Shiva Nirwana. The film has been launched officially and the regular shoot will commence from the mid of August. Model turned actress Divyansha Kaushik has been roped in to play the second heroine in this untitled film.
Divyansha Kaushik is making her Tollywood debut with this romantic entertainer. Impressed with her assignment, Divyansha Kaushik decided to come on to the board though it is the role of the second heroine. Shine Screens are producing this untitled film. Divyansha is currently playing the female lead in Siddharth’s next film Shaithan Ka Bachcha directed by Karthik G Krish.
Chay’s suggestion to Mythri Movie Makers
The release date of Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s Savyasachi has been hanging fire due to post production issues and the delay in some part of shoot. The final schedule which will last for nearly two weeks will kick off shortly. As Madhavan and Niddhi Aggerwal need to adjust their dates, the entire shooting part might be wrapped up in mid August.
Earlier there were reports that the release dates of Savyasachi and Shailaja Reddy Alludu might clash as both production houses are planning to release them on August 31st.
It is now reliably learnt that Chaitu has suggested Savyasachi makers not to rush with the final schedule to release the film in the last week of August. As he is fully confident of the output, he asked the makers to give necessary time for post production and go for a smooth release after August.
So, Savyasachi is likely to release few weeks after Shailaja Reddy Alludu.

Chay – Sam to commence shoot next month
Star couple Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are going to pair up for a romantic entertainer which will be helmed by Siva Nirvana of Ninnu Kori fame.
This will be fourth time both Chay and Sam are sharing screen space after Yem Maya Chesava, Auto Nagar Surya and Manam.
The regular shooting of this film will kick start next month. Both Chaitu and Samantha are utterly impressed with Siva’s script and gave the nod. The duo will wrap up their current commitments and commence shooting for this untitled project immediately.

Venky – Chaitu film Launched

The regular shoot will commence from September and Rakul Preet Singh has been locked to play one among the female leads. Suresh Productions, Kona Film Corporation and People Media Factory will jointly produce this action thriller. Kona Venkat penned the screenplay and dialogues. Venky Mama is the title considered for this action thriller.
Chaitu and Samantha backs young actor
Young actor Rahul Ravindran has done impressive film in Telugu after which he decided to test his luck as a director. His debut film Chi La Sow featuring Sushanth in the lead role is gearing up for release soon. Rahul and Samantha started their career with Moscowin Kavery and they share a great bonding. Rahul narrated the script initially for Chaitu and Samantha seeking their suggestions. Now the duo watched Chi La Sow and they have been extremely impressed with the output.

Shailaja Reddy Alludu : Andhra rights sold for 10 Crores
Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film Shailaja Reddy Alludu is doing good pre release business in all areas. Successful director Maruthi at the helm of this family drama is said to be one of the reasons why the producer is getting lucrative offers from buyers.
According to the latest trade updates, the Andhra rights of Shailaja Reddy Alludu have fetched around 10 Crores for the producer. Notable distributors from Uttarandhra, East, West and Nellore have reportedly bagged these rights.
This is a solid deal for the producer considering Naga Chaitanya’s market and the way his recent films performed in this area.

Chaitu to go shirtless for Savyasachi
Young actor Naga Chaitanya is sweating out for his next film Savyasachi which is an action thriller and is in final stages of shoot. Chandoo Mondeti is the director and the makers are keen on releasing the film during August. Chaitu will be going shirtless during an action episode and the director felt that this would elevate the episode well. Chaitu without hesitating agreed with a cool nod. Shailaja Reddy Alludu – Tall order for Naga Chaitanya in OS
Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming family entertainer Shailaja Reddy Alludu, which has successful director Maruthi at the helm, is doing solid pre release business in all areas.
As reported earlier by Telugu360, the overseas rights of Shailaja Reddy Alludu have been bagged by Idream Media for 3.1 Crores. So, the film need to collect more than one million dollar for break even in overseas.
This is going to be a tall order for Naga Chaitanya because he is yet to score a million dollar film in overseas. Buzz is that Shailaja Reddy Alludu is shaping up quite well and Maruthi’s impressive track record in overseas will definitely result in good openings.
Also, Chaitu will have another release before Shailaja Reddy Alludu in the form of Savyasachi which is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. If this film emerges as a winner at box office, it would surely be an added advantage for Shailaja Reddy Alludu.
It remains to be seen if Chaitu manages to gain some foothold in overseas with these two films.

Reasons behind Savyasachi delay
Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film Savyasachi was initially supposed to hit the screens this June. Due to protracted shooting schedules, the makers have pushed it to July. Now, it is heard that the film’s release is likely to be delayed further due to the following reasons.
As per our sources, the CG work of Savyasachi has been handed to a company started by a close friend of the technical team. After watching some rushes of the work, director Chandoo Mondeti is unhappy with the output and decided to give the responsibility to a renowned company.
Currently, the graphic work of Savyasachi is happening in Makuta Studios, the animation team which worked for Baahubali franchise. As the film will have good portion of CG and VFX effects, the post production phase might take around one month. So, the makers are planning to release the film in August.

There have been wide speculations that Naga Chaitanya’s next outing Savyasachi has been delayed as the makers are not happy with some of the episodes and the director is busy shooting them again. There are even reports that Savyasachi has been pushed to August but the real update is that the film’s CG work delayed the film’s release. The makers even locked July 27th for the arrival and they informed the buyers about the same.

Kona and Bobby’s touch to Janardhana Maharshi’s script
Writer Janardhana Maharshi, who wrote dialogues for SS Rajamouli’s ‘Eega’ (besides directing films like ‘Devasthanam’ and ‘Pavithra’), we are told, has provided the basic story for Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya starrer untitled film to be directed by Bobby aka KS Ravindra.
“Both Venky and Chay were bowled over by the script of Maharshi but it needed some more attention, which is when Kona Venkat and Bobby came into the picture. The duo gave it an interesting spin. It is a family drama peppered with humour. It would be set in a town as opposed to some reports which indicated about it being a village-based drama. The plan is to shoot in a place like Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu,” said a source close to the project.
The source added that the makers are keen on taking the film to floors in July. “Venky would be through with a major part of ‘Fun and Frustration’ by then. His leading lady will be finalized in a week.”
In the film, Venky and Chay will be playing maternal uncle-nephew full length– just like they are in real life.

Exclusive – Puri’s casting coup: Nag, Chay together
Together they’ve delivered a hit ‘Sivamani’ and a dud ‘Super’. And if our sources are to be believed, it looks like they are set to join forces again. Yes, you read it right. We are indeed talking about superstar Nagarjuna and director Puri Jagannadh. Giving them company in the film would be Naga Chaitanya.
“Puri narrated a story to Nagarjuna before ‘Mehbooba’ released. The actor loved the emotional quotient in it and days after the narration, he even confided in Puri that the story was haunting him. Since he’d be busy with ‘Bangarraju’ after completing Sriram Aditya’s untitled film, he asked Puri to wait for some more time. However, the result of ‘Mehbooba’ might have a bearing on the prospects of this film but as things stand now, it is very much on,” confirmed a source close to the development, while mentioning that it is the same reason why Nag took a special interest in promoting ‘Mehbooba’.
The source further added, “Since Puri doesn’t like to sit unoccupied for long, he might do a film up next—most probably with son Aakash and wrap it in time to be ready to direct Nag and Chaitanya. Nag assured Puri that ‘Bangarraju’, if and when it happens, would be ready for Sankranti. ”
