Official Now: Chaitu and Samantha to join hands

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya got married to top actress Samantha last year and the duo has been busy wrapping up their respective projects. Several filmmakers wanted to rope in Chaitu and Samantha for a film but it didn’t happen. Now Shiva Nirvana who made an impressive debut with Nani’s Ninnu Kori last year locked Naga Chaitanya for his next film which is a romantic entertainer. Keeping an end to all the speculations, Chaitu announced that he will be romancing his better half Samantha on screen for the first time post marriage.

The regular shoot of this film will kick-start during the second half of this year and Shine Screens will bankroll the project. “Preyasi” is the title speculated all over however an official announcement is awaited. Chaitu and Samantha’s fans are left cheered up with the big announcement. More update soon.

Nagarjuna puts Chay’s producers in dilemma

Naga Chaitanya’s Savyasachi, which is in the last leg of production, is aiming for release in the last week of May. As many other big ticket films are scheduled for release in April and May, the makers of Savyasachi have been eyeing May 24/25 as ideal dates for release. However, they are now put in a dilemma with the announcement of the release date of Nag’s upcoming film.

According to an official statement, Nag’s Officer has been confirmed to hit the screens on May 25th. The RGV directional is fast wrapping up its shooting formalities. As RGV and Nag cannot afford to miss the Summer season given that the film is a pure commercial entertainer with plenty of action backdrop, they have decided to release the film on May 25th.

The makers of Savyasachi cannot speed up things to release it before May and also they may face shortage of theatres due to heavy releases. With not many options left, Savyasachi might be pushed to June or further.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

Why did Naga Chaitanya clarify on rumors?

Naga Chaitanya’s suddenly clarified through his twitter handle about his upcoming films. Though he is in discussions on so many projects, only some of them are finalized and the remaining are yet in discussion stage. As, there is no official confirmation on the projects in pipeline, gossip mongers have been spreading some false news about his movies and Chaitu put a check to all those rumors with a tweet. He tweeted –

“Some news today reporting my next projects which isn’t true..shooting fr savyasachi & Maruthi Garu’s film,excited with the way both films are shaping up.been blessed this year listening to some really nice content.will announce my next soon,whatever you hear otherwise is NOT TRUE”

But after seeing the tweet, one gets a doubt, which projects he is specifically denying. It seems, in recent times there have been rumors about Naga Chaitanya enacting role of ANR in “Maha Nati” . Another rumor is Chaitu joining hands with Jai Lava Kusa director Bobby for his next project. But with Chaitu’s tweet, it seems both of these are just rumors, at least for now.

Director Changed for Venkatesh- Chaitu Project?

The energetic star Victory Venkatesh played an interesting cameo with his nephew Naga Chaitanya in the film Premam and it was well received by the audience. Ever since, Daggubati and Akkineni family fans are eagerly waiting to see them get back together for a full fledged film once again. The brilliant combo finally materialized when the project was taken up by their home production house Suresh Productions.

This film was initially supposed to be directed by Kalyan Krishna who gave a fun film Soggade Chinni Nayana starring Nagarjuna earlier. But as per the latest buzz, Kalyan Krishna has opted out of the project because of his current commitments. He might be replaced most likely by director Bobby who came to good form with Jai Lava Kusa earlier.

Venkatesh is currently working with hard hitting filmmaker Teja for an interesting project and will join the sets for this multistarer once it is done.

Gone are the days when directors finalize a script and then find a suitable actor who fits the bill. These days, it is the combination which is given much priority than the story. Quite often we are noticing many projects getting announced even before the director involved is ready with a script. Recently, Naga Chaitanya’s film with Maruthi was officially announced by Sithara Entertainments banner. Apparently, Maruthi has no story for Chaitu and the announcement came as a surprise. However, the film went on floors after Maruthi had readied a script.

Now, it is once again learnt that one more project was confirmed before the director has a story on hand. During Hello promotions, Akkineni Nagarjuna revealed that Vikram Kumar will soon team up with Naga Chaitanya. Many felt that this is an interesting combination and were eagerly waiting to see what the duo has in store for them. However, Vikram is yet to work on the script for this project. It is heard that he has not yet finalized the storyline and the project might not happen immediately. Vikram revealed that he and Chaitu are yet to discuss on what genre are they going to work on.

Before directing Chaitu, the Manam director is looking to work on another Telugu project and Nani is likely to play the lead role in it. So, Vikram Kumar’s film with Chaitu might go on floors in 2019.

Till now, only Nagarjuna used to have a cottage in Annapurna Studios and Naga Chaitanya joined the bandwagon. So, from now, whenever the shoot is happening there, the couple can have their own space here and they can use it instead of caravans.
