Young couple Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are celebrating their second Christmas after getting married. They took a break from their busy schedules and are celebrating Christmas. Samantha took her Instagram to post their picture on the Christmas eve. The duo looked stunning as usual in the picture. Chaitu and Samantha are teaming up for the first time post wedding for Majili directed by Shiva Nirvana. The film started rolling recently and will release during summer next year.
Victory Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya are teaming up for the first time for a mass entertainer titled Venky Mama. KS Ravindra (Bobby) is the director and the film has been launched officially during October. The regular shoot is yet to commence and it has been delayed several times as Suresh Babu is not happy with the final draft. Bobby is left shattered with Suresh Babu’s too much involvement and is in plans to walk out of the project.
The film’s director has been changed once and now Bobby too is in plans to quit the film if it doesn’t start from January 2019. On the other side Venky wrapped up F2 shoot and is waiting to join the sets of Venky Mama. Chaitu during this delay shifted his focus on Shiva Nirvana’s Majili. We have to wait to see if Suresh Babu gives his nod or turns speed breaker for Venky Mama.
Victory Venkatesh is on a roll after taking a break for almost a year and half. The actor has been in plans to work with his nephew Naga Chaitanya from the past few years but the duo failed to get an appropriate script. Finally, KS Ravinda (Bobby) impressed the duo with a mass masala script titled Venky Mama. After a formal launch, the regular shoot of Venky Mama will start from December 17th in Hyderabad.
Venkatesh recently wrapped up the shoot of F2 and is currently on a break. Venky and Chaitu will shoot for Venky Mama from 17th and the shoot will continue without breaks till Sankranthi 2019. Huma Qureshi and Rakul Preet Singh are the female leads. Bankrolled by Suresh Productions, People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation, Venky Mama is slated for summer 2019 release.
Akkineni Nagarjuna is absolutely clueless about his sons. Both Naga Chaitanya and Akhil are struggling with no proper hits to their credit in recent times. Many are suggesting that Nag needs to bring in top directors to give a filip to the low lying careers of Akhil and Naga Chaitanya. It has already been reported that Akhil is desperate to team up with ace director Koratala Siva.
Now, Telugu360 has exclusively learnt that Naga Chaitanya has recently met ace writer Vijayendra Prasad, father of director SS Rajamouli. Reportedly, Chaitu is in search of good script which ends his long quest for a big hit. He has requested Vijayendra Prasad to recommend him for a movie with SS Rajamouli or to lend a solid script for his next film.
Vijayendra Prasad is currently busy working on scripts of RRR and few other films in Telugu and Tamil. So, it remains to be seen if he comes to the rescue of Naga Chaitanya and gives him a watertight script that will end his poor streak.
It seems like both Akhil and Naga Chaitanya have realised that they need the right combination and perfect script to strike hard at the box office.
Savyasachi has ended up it’s run worldwide with a distributor share of 9.87 Cr. Worldwide theatricals of the film are valued at 23 cr which means a recovery of just over 40 percent. The film is a huge disaster and break for Mythri who have been on success streak.

Young actor Naga Chaitanya is celebrating his birthday today and the actor is shooting for his next film directed by Shiva Nirvana currently. He is teaming up with his better half Samantha for the first time post wedding for this film which has been tentatively titled Majili. Twitter has been flooded with birthday wishes and the actor’s look from the movie has been out on the occasion.
Chaitu took his twitter to thank the team of Majili and his fans for making his birthday memorable and showering so much love. “Thanks so much for all the love ! Thanks so much shiva , sahu , Harish and the entire team for this picture, loving everyday working on this film” posted Chaitu. Shine Screens is producing this romantic drama that will release next year.

Akkineni heroes Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya failed to score a decent hit this year despite having two releases each. Nagarjuna’s Officer turned out to be an embarrassing disaster and Devadas ended as a flop at box office. After hits like Soggade Chinni Nayana and Oopiri, Nagarjuna failed miserably with his script selection and disappointed fans bigtime.
On the other side, Naga Chaitanya’s wait to score a big hit continues as his latest film Savyasachi is struggling at box office. After Shailaja Reddy Alludu couldn’t perform as per trade expectations, Chaitu pinned hopes on Savyasachi to end his patchy run. But, the film received poor reviews and trade analysis point to another disappointing film at box office.
Naga Chaitanya’s wife Samantha had a promising year with back to back hits. She scored hits with Rangasthalam and Mahanati. Her performance in U Turn received good response from audience and critics alike. Akhil’s Mr Majnu was initially planned for December end release. But, the film was postponed to next year.
On the whole, it is a disappointing show from Akkineni heroes with back to back flops this year.
Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s latest offering Savyasachi, which opened to lukewarm response last Friday, is heading towards becoming a huge disaster at US box office.
The Chandoo Mondeti directional, which started off on a dull note with $ 110 K from its Thursday premiers, couldn’t attract audience in the first weekend due to poor reviews and below par word of mouth. The film collected meagre revenues on Friday and Saturday and disappointed trade circles bigtime.
As per trade analysis, Savyasachi might end its run with a total gross below $ 400K, which means buyers are going to incur huge losses ( 70 percent of investment) in all areas. The film’s overseas rights were bagged for around 3.1 Crores.
Mythri Movie Makers, which delivered back to back blockbusters, teamed up with Naga Chaitanya for ‘Savyasachi’. The film, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, released to mixed reports this Friday. Going by film’s mediocre run in the first weekend, trade analysts predict that it is going to be a loss venture for buyers in all areas. So, after scoring three super hits on the trot, the successful production house has tasted a debacle with Savyasachi.
Now, the focus shifts on their next film Amar Akbar Anthony which has Ravi Teja in the lead role. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, the film is getting ready for release on this 16th. The production house would be hoping that the heady combination of Ravi Teja and Sreenu Vaitla will repeat magic at box office and put them back on success track after the sudden blip due to Savyasachi’s failure.
Mythri Movie Makers have lined up several crazy projects in the coming months. So, they would want to end this year on a positive note with AAA.
Akkineni Naga Chaitanya has been struggling to score a big hit since many years. Despite being in industry for nearly a decade and hailing from an illustrious family, the Akkineni heir failed to deliver a blockbuster that would establish him as a commercial hero. All his recent films opened up quite well, but couldn’t sustain in the long run. His latest film Savyasachi too released amidst good buzz, but the collections have dropped bigtime from the second day.
Naga Chaitanya scored good hits with Em Maya Chesave and 100% Love. But, there after there is no notable success for him. He is yet to surpass the 30 Crore mark with a solo film. While most of his contemporaries have launched themselves into one million dollar club, Chaitu is yet to have a film in that prestigious club.
Critics have also panned his monotonous acting skills in his recent films. There is no real makeover in terms of his acting and looks. So, he needs to reassess his career and sign movies that have good scope to prove himself as an actor. He needs to try out heady combinations for his upcoming films.
Savyasachi has taken decent openings in Telugu States with a distributor share of over 3 Cr. This is the third biggest opening for the hero behind Shailaja Reddy Alludu & Rarandoi Veduka Chudham. The film is carrying mixed reports among the audience and it needs to be seen how its going to do over the weekend.

Naga Chaitanya’s Savyasachi has created a strong buzz for its intriguing teasers and trailers. The film draws its plot on vanishing twin syndrome concept, a first of its kind story-line in Tollywood. Madhavan is playing Naga Chaitanya’s nemesis in this film.

Story :
Vikram Aditya ( Chay) , an Ad. Film maker, meets his client and ex-lover Chitra ( Nidhhi Agerwal) after six years. They refresh sweet memories from college life, go to New York City for their next Ad shooting. When returned, Vikram finds his sister’s family was attacked, niece was kidnapped.
Arun Raj ( Madhavan ) had been a talented youngster , but he dislikes the society around him for a reason. Arun attacks Vikram’s family and kidnaps his niece. Rest of the story is the mind game between Arun and Vikram.
Analysis :
Savyasachi film has an interesting story that has been diluted with dull narration. The core conflict point written for protagonist Vikram , Antagonist Arun characters is decent. But the filler part which consists of ‘College scenes and love track’ is boring. The mind game in second half is not much engaging but pre climax scenes were good. Vanishing twin syndrome concept has been used effectively. Two songs in first half shaped up well, in second half there is a nice remix song but it was timing bad. As a director, Chandoo has failed to impress the audience with his narration
Production values by Mythri movie makers are grand. In Songs and action blocks the lavishness is visible. MM Keeravani music is partially impressive. Cinematography by Yuvaraj is nice, captures vibrant New York city for a short duration in the film. Ram-Laxman composed two fights in a decent manner.
Performances:
Chay as Vikram got an interesting role, he performed well. R Madhavan as disgruntled genius Arun performed adequately . Heroine Nidhhi Agerwal has very limited role, looks okay. Yester heroine Bhumika played elder sister to Chay , she is good. Vennela Kishore comedy has limitations. Shakalaka Shankar as NRI is hilarious.

Mythri Movie Makers is one of the most successful production houses in Tollywood at present. The visuals in the song are reminiscent of the 1980s days. The lead pair’s romance is portrayed in retro style as they recollect memories of the past. Some of the iconic personalities, moments and advertisements that were quite popular in that period are showcased in the song. Chaitu and Niddhi Aggerwal groove to this jazzy number in a lively and cheerful way. The costumes are quite retro and the tune is peppy that suits the ambience.

The pre release event of Savyasachi took place on Saturday in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, Naga Chaitanya said director Chandoo Mondeti came up with a unique plot loaded with commercial elements that will not disappoint audience. Chaitu said he believed in content over combination for this film.
Chaitu said he gained confidence on Savyasachi when Madhavan came on board to essay a prominent role. He thanked the whole team for putting in great efforts in shaping up the project. Chaitu thanked Akkineni fans for their unanimous support to his family. He paid condolences to producer Siva Prasad Reddy, a close friend of Akkineni family, who passed away yesterday.
It is time for Naga Chaitanya to prove his box office potential. All his recent films failed to attain hit status despite getting decent word of mouth. Savyasachi is an upcoming action thriller starring Naga Chaitanya and Madhavan in lead roles. This film also happens to Madhavan’s official debut into Tollywood. The film is directed by Chandoo Mondeti who worked with Naga Chaitanya earlier for Premam. Music for the film is composed by M.M.Keeravani.
The album begins on a trendy note with Why Not which already gathered much attention with the single release. Ananth Sriram’s lyrics are quite appealing and also have good poetry involved. The song entirely has a contemporary feel with foot tapping rhythm and techno sounds. PVNS Rohit does a decent job with his youthful voice. The interludes have good techno riffs and keyboard usage. The usage of violin gives it a classical touch.
The next is a remix of Nagarjuna’s all time hit Ninnu Roaddu Meedha from Allari Alludu. The usage of additional party riffs, rhythm and rap adds a contemporary feel to the song. However, the original song’s commercial and mass touch is missing in this version. But, it would have its appeal to the current day youth for the layering. Pridhvi Chandra and Moumina make a passable attempt to make it a peppy number.
Okkarantey Okaru is a beautiful female solo by Sreenidhi Venkatesh and penned by Rama Jogayya Sastry. The usage of minor scale is done to best effect in the form of harmonica and strings. The mild piano touches are beautiful and appealing to hear. The pain of mother who bear vanishing twins is beautifully explained by the lyrics. This song definitely stands out by being entirely loyal to the theme.
The album returns to modern feel with Tick Tick Tick performed by Hymath and Shreya Goparaju who have a breezy voice. Ananth Sriram includes some English words to give it a trendiest feel and succeeds in doing the same. The song has quite a road trip kind of appeal for its swift nature and relaxing ambience.
A jazzy number 1980,81,82 which speaks much about nostalgia of the 80s kids. This song strikes a chord with all those people who grew up in the age of video games, VCR and cassettes. It is indeed a great attempt by Ananth Sriram to relive all those memories through his peppy lyrics. The song has timely piano touches as well.
Oopiri Ukkiribikkiri is a melancholic number which speaks mountains about struggle of survival. The song has an eerie feel to it thanks to the chord progression and Srikrishna takes up this challenge quite well. However, the female vocals Sri Soumya and Mohana Bhogaraju mellow down the tension with their reassuring vocals. Kudos to Ananth Sriram for giving a contrasting effect and interesting confrontation of the lead character.
Verdict:
Savyasachi is an impressive album from Keeravani which caters to the current trends. The composer definitely is keeping up to the current tastes of the audience.
