Dynamic filmmaker SS Rajamouli need not have a special introduction in Indian cinema. He is all set to thrill the audience with his latest outing Baahubali: The Conclusion which is made on a massive budget and is the most awaited Indian releasing film. The ace director dedicated five years for Baahubali and Baahubali: The Conclusion is all set for release on April 28th. Rajamouli turned emotional and he took his official social networking page to reveal about his feelings.

He said that it is the last working day for Baahubali and he revealed about the journey and experience. Rajamouli said that he has been smiling with joy and wincing with pain. The journey finally came to an end and the audience have been eagerly waiting for the release of Baahubali: The Conclusion. Made on a massive budget, the film features Prabhas, Anushka, Rana and Tamannaah in the lead roles. Arka Media works produced the film and Baahubali: The Conclusion completed all the censor formalities last night.

Given the craze and reach of the upcoming magnum opus “Baahubali: The Conclusion”, several local as well as international brands across categories are tying up with the film. Although the movie has universal appeal, the marketing efforts by brands have somehow been restricted to south India only.

For ex. Britannia Milk Bikis, which has associated with the movie for the first time this year, has focused marketing for Milk Bikis in South Indian states. For on-ground activities, the FMCG company is primarily aiming at major cities in the Telugu states – Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. The company is creating TVCs featuring Prabhas and will also conduct contests on social media in its bid to effectively leverage its association with ‘Baahubali’.

McDonalds, the global fast food chain, which also is associating with Baahubali franchise for the first time, has launched new items in its menu – Maharaja Mac Meal and Maharaja Mac Junior. The on-ground activities for McDonalds will be focused on Hyderabad. The south India focus is prominent in the marketing strategies of both Britannia and McDonalds. These brands are reportedly investing significant budgets to promote their association with Baahubali.

Several other brands and organizations such as Nestle Munch, Stratfit, Fueladream etc. have also partnered with the magnum opus which is set to release worldwide on April 28.

The makers are all set to recover their investments and they get such hefty amounts from the distributors. They are closely monitoring the transactions all over and sources also revealed that the IT department might conduct surprise raids before the film’s release. Some of the distributors are said to fulfil their commitments before April 20th so that they will be out of all these issues. It’s really a tough task for the buyers to pay such hefty amounts during this currency crisis.

With over 1000 screens, Baahubali 2 set to rewrite history in Overseas

With less than two weeks for its grand release, Baahubali 2 is making the right noises all over the globe. As reported earlier, the magnum opus is set for a record breaking release in North America. Overseas distributor Great India Films has announced that the film will have a mammoth release in US on par with Hollywood movies.

According to the latest update, Baahubali 2 is likely to release in over 1000 Screens in US and Canada, making it the biggest ever release for an Indian film there. With such huge scale release, trade analysts opine that the film will surely rewrite the box office records in the first weekend itself. It is expected that the Thursday premier collections will be huge as they are planning an early screening and maximum number of shows in all areas.

Also, the IMAX version of the film will be screened in major locations of all areas. Trade is expecting that many box office records will topple from the first day. Amir Khan’s Dangal is highest grossing Indian film in overseas and Baahubali 2 has a good chance of surpassing it.

Prabhas, Rana celebrate Baisakhi in Chandigarh

“Baahubali” stars Prabhas and Rana Daggubati visited Chandigarh University to celebrate the festival of Baisakhi on Friday.

During the college visit, Prabhas and Rana engaged in some Baisakhi special activities along with the students. They got into some fun game of fist fight as well.

Prabhas said in a statement: “Celebrating the festival of Baisakhi in Chandigarh has been a joyous experience for us. It was interesting to interact with young minds at the university and soak in the vibe of the festival in the city.”

It is the first city visit of the team for the promotion of their forthcoming film “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion“.

Produced by ARKA entertainment and directed by S.S. Rajamouli, the movie also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj.

The film is slated to release on April 28.

Release Hurdles for Baahubali: The Conclusion in Tamil Nadu

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion is all set for a massive release across the globe and the film’s craze has been unbeatable. The makers have been promoting the film across the country and the film’s theatrical rights have been sold out for record prices. A film distributor based in Tamil Nadu approached Madras High Court as MS Sharavanan of Sri Green Productions left him unpaid. ACE Media approached Madras High Court as Sri Green Productions is yet to clear the debts of Rs 1.18 crores.

The dues have been promised to be paid before the release of Baahubali: The Conclusion but Sri Green Productions alleged that they have been making huge sum by selling the film to third parties ignoring them. ACE Media produced all the copies of the agreement before Madras High Court and the case is expected to be presented for hearing today. Arka Media Works is in talks with Sri Green Productions to solve the issue at the earliest informed sources.

Rana’s Ghazi completes its first schedule

Daggubati Rana is teamed with debutante Sankalp Reddy for an interesting period drama is a known news. Titled as Ghazi, the film is based on the mysterious sinking of war submarine PNS Ghazi. Rana is playing a Naval officer and Bollywood actor Kay Kay Menon is essaying a crucial role in the film.

The film went on floors a couple of weeks ago and according to the latest update, the first schedule has been wrapped up yesterday. Talented actress Tapsee Pannu is playing a refugee in the film. Crucial scenes featuring Rana and Tapsee were shot in this schedule in the special schedule that was erected in Hyderabad. After taking a brief gap, the unit will commence shooting for the next schedule.

An exclusive report confirms that Bollywood actor Rahul Singh has been roped in for a crucial role in this film. Rahul Singh is a model turned actor who essayed important roles in a handful of Hindi films and TV shows.

Veteran actor Prakash Raj will also be seen in a prominent role. Sankalp Reddy will wield the megaphone for this project. The pre production work is currently going on and more details will be announced soon.

Baahubali – 2 ( The Conclusion ) is ready to take off. After a long break, thanks to pre-release publicity and post release promotions Team Baahubali is all set to stsrt work on the remained of Baahubali-2 shoot.

30% of the talkie part for Baahubali-2 was completed simultaneously with Baahubali-1. Now the remainder of the film needs to be shot. Scripting work and pre-production for the remainder of the film started today with Madan Karky joining Rajamouli and team. Shooting of the film is likely to start in October end or November. Baahubali – 2 is being planned for early 2017 release. Prabhas and Rana are back to working on their physique. Anushka will be seen in a radically different avatar in this part when compared to part 1.

Gunasekhar’s much delayed 3D graphical extravaganza Rudrama Devi is postponed again. This Anushka starer was slated to release on September 4th 2015. Latest we hear is that the makers are forced to further postpone the film by atleast a week. Reasons for the delay are unclear. A source in the production unit reveals that the graphical work is yet to be finished and the makers are not confident about being ready for release by September 4th. Latest rumored release date is September 11th. Allu Arjun plays a very key role of Gona Ganna Reddy in this film. Gunasekhar is producing this film on his Guna Team Works banner. Gopi Ganesh, who earlier directed Romeo – Puri Rasina Prema Kadha with Sai Ram Shankar will be directing this film. Why is Rajamouli unique?

I love working in mythology as I am from theatre. I wait for such opportunities like fantasy, mythology. I have done various films but this is beyond Indian standards,. Indian cinema has evolved to a great standard of an epic, what I like in Rajamouli is he hasn’t set a time and genre for himself. Simhadri, Sye and he made a spectacular Magadheera and suddenly zeroes into a  fly and makes a blockbuster and now does such a gigantic Bahubali. He has surpassed himself in this process.

She might not have tasted a decent box office success in Telugu but the talented and good looking Haripriya is in demand in Kannada films. Last year Vaarahi Vennalave (it means Ravoi Chandamama) starring Dinesh Atthakathi and her was a big hit. Director Shashidharan had this love story narrated differently and Haripriya says she fell for the story instantly. “He is fabulous, it is his first film. The minute he starts explaining the scene, you get excited and want to get into the character soon and easily. He has immense clarity and it is a love story that revolves around a girl Meera, can’t reveal much at this stage. There was lot of emoting more through expressions and eyes than dialogues. It is an extremely strong character and I am pinning hopes on this, only when this releases I will take up other scripts.”

The actor talks about the rest of the projects, she has five major releases in Kannada and one film in Tamil waiting to hit the screen. “Ugram was a big success in Kannada, released in 2014. After that there was no looking back, I signed Ranna (Attharintiki Dharedi), I played Pranita’s role. I am so happy that I got back to back hits. Bullet Bhasya is also a commercial film, Sharan is the hero and is headed for a July release. The songs have become popular here. Ricky has Rakshit Shetty as the hero, he is a director cum actor. This film however has not been directed by him. I have a double role, one as a naxalite and the other a soft one. The Naxalite has been presented not the way you’d see in an art film, it is a commercial love story. I have lost weight for this film and I am maintaining that. Ranatantra is in post production. It is a thriller and a love story, the director Adiram has blended thriller and love very well. Vijay Raghavendra is the hero. Right now I am shooting for Rajadhani 2 (Kannada) with Preetam.”

Rana Reveals Baahubali’s Plot

The much-awaited Baahubali movie is creating waves across film circles. While everyone is cross fingered as to what the movie would revolve around, Rana-who essayed a key role-in Bahubali has revealed the plot of the movie. 

Rana, Prabhas and others who essayed important roles in this flick are in Mumbai to promote Bahubali. Speaking to the media, Rana said that Baahubali is an action drama between two brothers who try to adorn a prestigious throne.

The movie is apparently set in the backdrop of earlier century where kings and kingdoms existed. Bahubali is going to be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. 

The sources said that Rajamouli, who worked on this movie for nearly three years, got a whopping 60 rupee crore remuneration while Prabhas was offered 40 crores. A new language was created for this movie, which will be spoken by antagonist. 

Not just in India, but Baahubali is being awaited by film enthusiasts across the globe. It wouldn’t be exaggeration to state that this movie would undoubtedly escalate the standards of Indian Cinema in the international market. 

Baahubali’s audio was recently released at Tirupati. The movie is slated for a grand release on July 10 this year.
