Prabhas’ much awaited tentpole film Saaho, which was supposed to have grand release on August 15th, has been postponed according to the latest buzz in industry circles. Reports suggest that the makers of this 300 Crore action saga doesn’t want to rush with the post production work and decided to defer the release date to August 30th. An official confirmation in this regard is yet to be out.

Meanwhile, Sharwanand’s long delayed commercial entertainer Ranarangam has locked the vacant August 15th. Directed by Sudheer Varma, the film’s shoot has been wrapped up long back. The makers are looking for an ideal date to release the film. With Saaho getting postponed, they have immediately announced the release date. Sharwanand is playing dual roles in this film. Kajal Aggarwal is the leading lady.

The entire shoot of the film has been wrapped up now and the post-production formalities are happening on a brisk pace. With a lot of stake involved, the film got lucrative offers and all the deals across the released languages are now closed. The makers are left in table profits even before the release. The film also has a huge dose of VFX work which is in the final stages currently. The first half of Saaho is locked completely and the second half work is under process. Saaho is slated for release in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages.

Prabhas already wrapped up the dubbing part in Telugu. The Hindi dubbing work is yet to start and the film has to pass the censor scrutiny soon. The makers are in plans to complete the censor formalities well in advance to avoid the last-minute rush. If needed, the rough copy would be presented for censor and the VFX shots will be added later.

The entire post-production work is happening in Mumbai and the entire team shifted their base to Mumbai. A team is monitoring the Hindi and Tamil dubbing work. And then the ‘nativity’ factor is the third important one and that is where Baahubali escaped the shackles. Though the subject may be universal, it should have native elements like drama, emotion, love and a bit of sentiment to impress Indian audiences. Perhaps that is the reason films like Avatar and 2012 worked out in Indian markets big time.

If these checkboxes are ticked, average songs may not hamper the film’s prospects. As the impressive teaser is tearing apart all YouTube records with a record number of views in less than 24 hours, some interesting details about this visual extravaganza are being revealed by the team.

Speaking to a national media portal, Prabhas revealed that Saaho is a screenplay based action saga on which director Sujeeth and his associates worked for more than three years before commencing the shoot. Prabhas opined that after Baahubali, the audience wants him to feature in action-oriented scripts. He is confident that the film will be liked by everyone.

Saaho is made on a striking budget with top-notch technicians and talented cast. The shooting formalities are nearing completion and the makers have already announced August 15th as the release date.
