Telangana Nandi Awards

As the controversy that ensued from the announcement of Nandi Awards by Andhra Pradesh government refuses to boil down, Telangana state is gearing up to declare it’s Nandi Awards very soon.

Speaking to a leading Telugu news channel, Telangana Minster for Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav stated that the government will soon announce its Nandi Awards. He said that a high profile committee has already been set up and everything is ready to be declared formally, but the announcement was delayed due to some internal reasons.

He further stated that they are mulling to rename the awards. So, it remains to be what repercussions will follow in the industry circles after the Telangana state announces its awards.
