Actor Venkata Prasad Arrested for Cheating A Woman
Following the complaint of a woman alleging he had sexually exploited her on the promise of marriage, Venkata Prasad, the manager of Prasad’s IMAX multiplex in Hyderabad, was arrested on Thursday.
In her complaint, the 33-year old woman mentioned that for almost seven years, Prasad had sexually exploited her and when she asked him to marry her, he had started avoiding her. The woman also works in Prasad’s IMAX. She alleged that Prasad is now in sexual relation with another woman.
The victim got married around 10 years ago. But, for a long time, has been living separately from her husband. A divorce was filed by the couple. And Prasad grew close to her, even before the couple could get separated legally. On the promise of marrying her soon after she gets divorce, Prasad had allegedly started an affair with her.
Prasad had made her pregnant twice, and he reportedly forced her into aborting the fetus, on both occasions. When she persistently asked him to marry her, he had threatened to kill her, alleged the woman.
A case against Prasad has been booked by the police, acting on the complaint. He has been taken into custody. The police reportedly found out during the investigation that he had cheated several women in the past. Currently, the investigation is going on.
Venkata Prasad, an actor, essayed the role of Prabhas’ adopted father in “Baahubali”.
