Political stunt – Sales of Royal Enfield Boost up


The sales of Royal Enfield (Bullet) motor cycles have been increased by 10 times in the last two months due to the political stunts by the candidates and aspirants of party tickets for upcoming Telangana Assembly Elections.

Majority of the candidates are feeling more comfortable in organizing campaigns by travelling on the Royal Enfield and in the last two months, the bike-rallies have been increased at even in rural areas.

“When we opt for car for campaigning, roughly we can visit two villages where the Royal Enfield leads to visit four or five villages. It will also ensure visible campaign where we can’t visible while going in car,” a candidate from TRS party told ‘Telugu360’.

Automobile sector is saying that the sales of Royal Enfield motor cycles have increased since September 6, after the announcement of 105 candidates by the ruling party TRS. “Earlier, we used to sell an average of 20 motor cycles per month in a show room. Almost all the show rooms in Hyderabad had sold the same number. Since September 6, the sales geared up and each show room is selling at least 200 bullets per month,” a dealer of Royal Enfield from Hyderabad city told.

Besides the sales, the automobile firms are saying that the small workshops that make over the vehicles are busy in these days. “Majority of candidates and their followers are interested in extra fitting like installation of bronze lion statue on the front mudguard, party symbols, bronze quoting etc”, another dealer said.

The automobile sector is expecting more sales after Durgastami and Vijayadashami which are scheduled on 16th and 18th of this month.
