Mass hero Raviteja is a name producers remember for his sky-high demands as he seeks hefty remunerations from producers without worried about how his films are doing at the box office. For a couple of years, he sat at home without doing films, regarding which industry cuckoos, he asked for 10 crore remuneration which none is willing to pay.
A couple of his upcoming movies including the one produced by Ram Talluri, Disco Raja, got delayed due to these remuneration issues only. After a lot of hiccups, Disco Raja is back on floors as the producer agreed to produce the film with a budget cap. Reports have that the mass hero is not going to get a big pay packet from now.
Producers like Tagore Madhu and Gemini Kiran are getting ready to produce films with Raviteja, one with director Gopichand Malineni and other with RX100 fame Ajay Bhupathy respectively. As both refused to give a hefty sum to Raviteja, initially these projects looked doubtful. However, the producers are said to have made the hero understand where his market is now.
Only if a film does well, it is able to collect 20 and more crores these days. In that scenario, investing 10 crores on Raviteja and 12-15 crores on making the film is not a worthy and wise investment. With producers unyielding, the hero is now ready to work on a profit-sharing basis without taking a single penny as advance. Glad that he understood, else offers will dwindle.
Gemini Kiran already made a similar deal with Nagarjuna for Manmadhudu 2 and now the same deal applies to Raviteja for his film with Ajay Bhupathi. In a day or two, Tagore Madhu will also sign the same deal, a source in the know shared.
