Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s Friday release Majili is holding well at the US box office in the first weekend after taking a decent start on Thursday premiers. The emotional drama directed by Siva Nirvana is all set to surpass the half million dollar mark by the end of Saturday.
Majili opened with $ 163K from Thursday premiers and collected a decent $ 148K on Friday to go past the $ 300K mark. On Saturday, the film is likely to collect more than $ 200K to take the total part half million dollars. Positive word of mouth and encouraging reviews are helping the film bigtime. The impressive performances of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are standout in Majili and worked well despite some predictable screenplay.
After back to back debacles, Naga Chaitanya finally bagged a decent hit with Majili. Shine Screens has produced this film.
