Tamil superstar Vijay’s upcoming film Bigil which has Atlee as director is creating ripples in trade circles of all areas. While the domestic pre-release business of the film is quite staggering as it is setting all-time records, the overseas business is also very solid.
As per the latest reports, the overseas rights of Bigil have been bagged for a whopping 30 Crore by a renowned distribution house. This is the highest pre-release business for a Vijay film in overseas and also the third biggest price for a Tamil film thereafter Petta and Kabali. Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 and Saaho are the top two films of South India in terms of highest pre-release business in the overseas market.
Bigil is the third collaboration of Atlee and Vijay after Theri and Mersal. Vijay is playing dual roles and the first look poster has been unveiled on the eve of his 45th birthday. Nayanatara is the leading lady.
