Top Tamil actor Vijay scored some of the biggest hits in Tamil in the recent years. The actor’s latest offering Master release was put on hold due to coronavirus. Though the makers wanted to head for a digital release, actor Vijay is not much interested and wanted to wait for the theatrical release. The latest news coming from the Tamil media says that the makers have initiated talks with a top OTT platform for a digital release during Sankranthi. Releasing the film in theatres with 50% occupancy and in these conditions would not be a better deal feels the makers.
Vijay too was convinced as the situations are not favorable. Vijay has a strong international market that will not open anytime soon. The international markets will open only after summer. The makers waited for almost eight months and they are not ready to wait for five more months. All these factors made the makers of Master to close the digital deal. An official announcement is expected once the deal would get closed. Lokesh Kanagaraj directed Master and Malavika Mohanan is the leading lady.
