Nithiin is likely to take around ten years to recover all the money he lost on Akhil..the power of Jua. The story written by Veligonda Srinivas (Damarukum)was a disaster from day one. Poor Vinayak had nothing to do. Akhil, Nagarjuna and Nithiin , all the three felt it was a great story and needed a big name to execute it. VV Vinayak was asked to step in and direct the story without any changes.
Nithiin had a series of flops before giving a hit with Ishq. At that time his father was able to release the house which was on mortgage on Road No Ten Jubilee Hills. Gundejari Gallanthayindi might have got him critical acclaim but it didn’t fetch him much money. Chinnadana Neekosam was a disaster and so was Courier Boy Kalyan. Twenty crore is approximately the estimated loss for Akhil. Luckily Sudhakar Reddy sold some areas in Andhra but retained Nizam. There is a buzz that VV Vinayak was not even allowed into the editing room after cutting the film. Well, since all is gone, one needs a scape goat and that is VV Vinayak. He doesn’t have anyone to give him a 5/5 rating.
