The endowments department of Andhra Pradesh will upgrade the amenities available at seven important temples in state namely Srisailam, Sirkalahasti, Kanipakam, Kanaka Durga Temple at Vijayawada, Dwaraka Tirumala, Annavaram and Simhachalam to world-class. Some of these temples are located on the picturesque hill tops. However, the amenities at these stations have mostly been neglected. Andhra appears to be more skewed towards Tirupati. Now, rectifying the mistake, the endowments department, in consultation with department of Municipal Administration and Urban Development will make all these temple township garden-towns. Afforestation and landscaping will be taken up. Horticultural experts will soon be appointed. Annadana satrams, guest houses and chowltries will be given facelift to make stay there a pleasant experience.
