The much awaited film of the year, 2Point0 released all over this Thursday amidst huge expectations. All eyes are on the film’s overseas run as the heady combination of Shankar and Rajinikanth stormed the box office there with their previous outings. 2Point is producer’s own release in overseas through Prime Media on advance basis ( 18 Crores). So, how much should the film gross to be termed as a reasonable run by trade circles ?
As the producer didn’t sell the rights outright and rejected a 30 Crore offer from a noted Telugu distributor, 2Point0 must perform atleast in the range of Baahubali 1 in overseas. Baahubali 1 grossed close to $ 7 M in its full run, so 2Point0 should have a similar run to be termed as reasonable performance in trade’s perspective. If the film needs to attain hit status, it should collect more than $ 8 M and anything close to $ 10M to be a blockbuster. As per early reports, movie is projected to gross between $1.3M tho $1.5M for Premieres + Day 1?
