One such producer who has an inspiring production journey is dynamic producer Dil Raju who established his banner Sri Venkateshwara Creations exactly twenty years ago with Shankar’s political flick Oke OKkadu.
Oke Okkadu was a thumping success in Tollywood with Arjun and Raghuvaran’s performances and A.R.Rahman’s music. Sri Venkateshwara Creations has taken the Nizam rights of the flick. But Dil Raju has faced many challenges after producing Mani Ratnam’s Amrutha in Telugu version which couldn’t do well at the Box Office. His biggest breakthrough was producing Dil starring Nithiin in the lead role. The film was a smashing hit and brought a star status for the young hero.
However, Dil Raju slowly started establishing his production house which produces movies having family values, youthful flavours and high production standards. Bommarillu- starring Siddarth and Genelia D’Souza in the lead roles became the biggest hit in the year 2006 taking Dil Raju to the top producer status in Tollywood.
Sri Venkateshwara Creations has the credit of making sensible movies consistently which are feel-good, ideal for family viewing and choosing impressive storylines. Their release this year F2- Fun and Frustration starring Venkatesh and Varun Tej in lead roles was a great hit as well. Now, the production house has also acquired the rights of Tamil blockbuster 96 to make it in Telugu.
