Puri Jagannadh is one of those directors who is known for power packed writing skills and also brilliantly brings up harsh realities of life with his characters and storylines. He is now launching his son Akash Puri as a full time hero with Mehbooba a war drama which already garnered much attention. During his interview for a popular daily, the director shared his piece of mind about his son’s enthusiasm towards acting.
The power packed director remembered how Akash used to bug him to give at least one small role in his movie during childhood. It was Chirutha in which he acted first on screen. Puri also found the spark of acting in Akash at a young age itself and felt that a hero’s potential is present in him.
The main reason for Puri becoming a producer for Mehbooba is also to instill confidence in the distributors about Akash’s abilities. Going by the promos of Mehbooba. Puri is surely in quite confidence about the film’s output and almost rediscovering himself as a gifted director.
