Bollywood blockbuster Queen is now remade in all the South Indian languages. Neelakanta has been asked to direct the Telugu and Malayalam versions of the film and Ramesh Aravind is directing the Tamil and Kannada versions of Queen. Neelakanta walked out of the Telugu version after he faced creative differences with Tamannaah. Ramesh Aravind has been assigned the responsibility to direct the Telugu version too but he could not manage to direct the film in three languages.
Prashanth Varma who made an impressive debut with Awe took the responsibility to direct the Queen remake which is a surprise. Despite of getting several interesting offers from top actors of Telugu cinema, Prashanth Varma decided to take up Queen remake and it is still unclear if Prashanth continues directing the film without making any changes or if he starts the film right from the first shot again.
