Former MP and Congress leader Chintha Mohan welcomes Congress-TDP alliance. He told alliance with Chandra Babu is much better than alliance with Jagan who cheated Congress party. He told, BJP deceived the state of AP on special category status and other promises made during bifurcation of the state and so it needs to be taught a lesson. He called all other Congress leaders who left the party to comeback into Congress.
Chinta Mohan won from Tirupati in 1991, 1998, 2004 and in 2009. Tirupati is reserved constituency and in 2014, TDP did not field a candidate here as it left the seat to BJP candidate Jayaram as part of alliance. But he got defeated and YSRCP leader and former bureaucrat Varaprasad won from here as MP. Probably, Chinta Mohan might be estimating that, as there is no TDP MP candidate here in 2014, TDP may leave this seat again to it;s allies in 2019 and that will definitely help him if he is fielded as Congress MP candidate from here.
