The BJP AP leaders criticised TDP in election campaign more than YCP. They thought that the BJP national leadership would reward for defeating TDP. But the reverse is happening now. The BJP top leadership has welcomed 4 TDP MPs into the party without telling the AP unit.
Naturally, the disciplined AP leaders have become a little unhappy but none of them can dare speak out their mind. Obviously, they can’t speak out against a decision taken by the Modi-Shah duo. The Bharatiya Janata Party couldn’t win a single MLA or MP seat in Andhra. How can the AP leaders expect recognition from the national leadership? TDP might have suffered a humiliating defeat but BJP could not even get a decent vote share. Is this not a loss of face? Analysts say that Amit Shah will care less and less about party AP leaders as far as taking leaders from TDP to strengthen and prepare the party for a decent show in next election.
