Agnyaathavaasi Audio Review

Agnatavaasi is an upcoming entertainer starring Pawan Kalyan and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles. The film is written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas. It is the first time Trivikram and Pawan collaborated with Kollywood’s music sensation Anirudh Ravichander. Here is an exclusive audio review of the album:

The album begins with a fiery yet classy number Dhaga Dhagamaney sung by Anirudh himself and passionately composed by Raag Jog- known for its inspirational tones and aura. The classy singing is effectively balanced with contemporary electric guitar and classical guitar also makes its brilliant detour with a fun solo in the raga. The overall song gives a new feel in the realm of Tollywood film songs for sure. Srimani does a fantastic job with impressive lyrics which are neither too hyped up or too bland.

Swagatham Krishna is an out and out classical number which has already made its presence felt in the teaser released last weekend. The song- composed in beautiful raga Mohana is quite effectively sung by Niranjana Ramanan and Srimani’s lyrics stick to the classical form with great ease. The timely piano chords are another highlight of the song. There is a mild style of trance associated in the song and a lilting electric guitar is the icing on the cake.

It is time for some contrasting number and that rightfully arrives in a groovy number AB Yevaro Nee Baby sung by the power packed Nakash Aziz. The song sets the mood for an ideal driving companion which also has excellent lyrics which speak about conflict and confusion. Srimani again strikes the right chord with conversational lyrics suiting the song’s genre. The rhythm is quite mellowed and doesn’t make an attempt to sound loud or pretentious. Interestingly, this song is composed by Carnatic Raaga Suddha Dhanyasi!

The already sensational number Gaali Vaaluga penned by the legendary lyricist Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry arrives next. The song has an air of relaxed pace and also swift feelings of romance evoking quite appealingly. Enjoy the sublime trance generated by this number- which is quite contrary for the energy driven composer like Anirudh.

The finale occurs in the form of Bayatikochi Chusthe– which already got much popular for Anirudh’s composing video along with Trivikram earlier. The casual tone of Anirudh himself, conversational lyrics and minimalistic approach towards orchestration makes this song an out and out winner. This song would definitely pave the way for unplugged trend in Tollywood which is much the need of the hour!

Verdict:

Agnyatavaasi showcases a different meaning of the word power packed with mellowed down songs and definitely something which would Sweep into audience with time! For those who expect out and out racy numbers , this album is not their choice.

Our picks:

Bayatikochi, Dhaga Dhagamaney and Swagatham Krishna
