Andhra Pradesh Assembly will discuss the suspension of YSRC MLA RK Roja in the light Hyderabad High Court stay order on Monday.
This is issue today figured in the House, before finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu began his reply for the debate on the budget 2016-17.
Referring to the High Court order, speaker Kodela Sivaprasadarao said the matter would be left to the decision of House as it was the House which adopted a resolution to suspend YSRC MLA Roja.
” On December 18, the house unanimously adopted a resolution to suspend an honorable member amid some objectionable behavior, objectionable language and gestures. Some members felt hurt at this. After the member went to court and got an order passed which is now in my possession. I want all the members, including the opposition members, read the judgment thoroughly. A copy of the judgment will be distributed to you. On Monday the house will take up the matter. As it was this house which took the decision to suspend the member, i will leave to the house to take a view on the High Court judgment,” the speaker said.
Later, legislative affairs member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said the government had no intention to cause inconvenience to any member.
“The government moved the resolution following objections by several members affected by the behavior of the ySRC member. We will abide by the decision of the speaker,” he said.
It is reliably learnt the debate on the High Court order will be based on the out come of the petition the Assembly filed before the division bench. Challenging the single judge decision that stayed the Roja’s suspension, Assembly secretary filed a petition before the division bench. But, the court said the it would take up the matter on Monday.
