Mamata Banerjee’s opposition rally in Kolkata today attended by several opposition leaders from different states and the rally is huge success. However, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha attending Mamata Banerjee’s mega Opposition rally organised in Kolkata almost gave a shocker to BJP party. The BJP leadership took strong objection on this and some leaders are urging the high-command to take action on him.
Shatrughan Sinha was bollywood hero turned politician. He is member of Lok Sabha twice (2009–2014, 2014–2019) and MP Rajya Sabha twice. He was also Union Cabinet Minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. He is currently BJP MP from Patna Sahib in Bihar. However, he is known for his sharp critical comments on Prime minister Modi. He has been criticizing Modi-Shah duo on every possible occassion. Today he attended Mamta’s rally that is aimed at uniting Modi’s opponents and lambaste Modi. He spoke at the rally and said,” People ask me why do you speak against BJP when you are still in the party. I say if speaking truth is an act of rebellion then I am a rebel.”
BJP leader Rudy criticized Shatrughan and said, some people are “intelligent in different ways”. “They abide by the party’s whip so that they don’t lose their membership. At the same time, they are so opportunistic and can be present at any conclave. The BJP will take cognisance of it” . Other BJP leaders asked Shatrughan to quit the party if he wants to join the opponents of the party.
We will have to wait and see if Modi-Shah duo dares to take action on ‘Shot gun’ Sinha.
