Vijayawada: The Bharatiya Janta Party legislature party leader in Andhra Pradesh, Vishnukumar Raju, sought to advise the YSR Congress leader to fight for Samaikyandhra and not for the Special category status.
In a chit chat with the media persons in the Assembly media point, Vishnukumar Raju said that special category status is a closed subject and there is no point in talking about it. He further said that the YSR Congress leader had wasted the time of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by raising the special category status issue during their meeting on May 10.
The BJP leader said that the Central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given better financial advantage to the State in the name of package. He said that the government had rolled out the special package to the State which is a unique one and the package would bring greater advantages to the State.
When asked about YSR Congress party’s support to the NDA, the BJP CLP leader welcomed Jaganmohan Reddy’s support and maintained that more parties would extend support to Modi’s leadership.
