World Badminton Champion PV Sindhu did Andhra proud by winning world championship. She met AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Amaravati Capital City. She shared her joy and showed the championship medal to CM who wished her greater such championships in future. Parents accompanied Sindhu but her popular coach Pullela Gopichand was not seen in this visit.
Usually, Sindhu takes her coach while meeting CMs but this time it is different. This triggered speculation whether Gopichand is still maintaining distance from the YSR family. Ex CM YSR tried hard to take back the prime land given to Gopichand by Chandrababu Circar in Gachibowli area for starting his badminton academy. YSR action gave the coach sleepless nights though he finally could get back his land and eventually developed the academy. However, bitter memories remain.
This is the same academy where Gopichand trained and encouraged Sindhu who has reached top positions in the world right now. Minister Avanti Srinivas and others were present when Sindhu met CM.
