Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was facing hardships 20 years ago has now become a crorepati and he has grown to this level by doing all kinds of felonious activities, said TDP State unit president, Kinerapu Atchen Naidu, on Sunday.

Atchen Naidu told media persons at the party headquarters here that in 2003 the family of the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, was in poverty and there is no dispute about it. The Income Tax returns submitted by Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy in 2003 clearly indicates this as his total assets were a mere Rs 9,19,951, he said.

After coming to power one should serve the people but should not take the people for a ride like Jagan, the TDP State unit president observed. The public representatives should work for the welfare of the public but should not generate crises, he felt.

Making use of the power of his father, the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Jagan minted crores of rupees and legalising his corruption in these four-and-half years, the Chief Minister amassed thousands of crores by looting even natural resources, Atchen Naidu remarked. Despite producing evidence on looting lakhs of crores and even voiced the same at several media conferences, the YSRCP leaders do not open their mouths, he stated.

Pointing out that the High Court has served notices on Jagan and his family members following a public interest litigation (PIL) on the massive amount looted by them, Atchen Naidu said that the YSRCP leaders are not dare enough to give any reply to it. Stating that Jagan has been on bail for the past 10 years and has been managing the systems without attending the court hearings, he said that the State has been witnessing various kinds of atrocities in these four-and-half years.

Maintaining that sand and liquor contracts are allotted to the henchmen of Jagan while natural resources like land, sand and mines are being looted, he said that there is no one to question these unwarranted activities. The Chief Minister, YSRCP MP, Vijayasai Reddy, and their family members, who have been facing serious cases, are simply ransacking the State in a quid pro quo system including the lands in Visakhapatnam, he remarked.

Regretting that development has completely taken a back seat, Atchen Naidu said that the prices of cement manufactured at the Bharathi Cements are hiked indiscriminately. Jagan uttered blatant lies on liquor as he miserably failed to fulfill the promise made to the people on implementing total prohibition in the State, Atchen Naidu said.

TDP politburo member, Varla Ramaiah said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed 11 chargesheets against Jagan in 2012 and the court has taken all of them into consideration. If once the hearing begins, punishment will follow and if he is innocent he will be vindicated of the charges, he said.

Now the hearing process has come to a standstill and after coming to power in 2019, Jagan did not attend the court hearings even once, Ramaiah pointed out. He felt that Jagan is simply misusing the Article 14 of the Constitution and there is a need for judicial review with regard to the cases pertaining to Jagan.

Except the President of India, the Vice President and the Governors, all others are equal before the law, Ramaiah expressed surprise as to why one Chief Minister is being given so much relaxation. Jagan may be a Chief Minister but why is he being given so many adjournments, he asked and said that the TDP demands a review on this.

Another politburo member, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao demanded Jagan to come out openly on the charges pending against him. Perhaps Jagan has created a history in managing the systems not to attend the court hearings for the past 11 years despite 11 CBI, ED and Section 420 cases pending against him, Bonda Uma said.

Jagan is an accused number one in Hetero, Ramco, India Cements, Raghuram, Penna, Hindu Tech, Lepakshi and AP Housing Projects and the cases have been pending for the past five years, Bonda Uma said and expressed confidence that truth will certainly prevail one day.
