Super talented filmmaker Krish surprised the Tollywood audience with his last outing Gautamiputra Satakarni. He got an opportunity to direct Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Bollywood beauty Kangana Ranaut has been roped in to reprise the role of warrior queen Rani Laxmibai and the movie has been announced for April 27th 2018 release. The shoot of the film is taking place in Rajasthan and couple of schedules have been delayed due to the ongoing protests in the state.
The VFX work too has been delayed after which Krish decided to push the release of Manikarnika. The makers will take a call once the entire shoot will be wrapped up and Jisshu Sengupta, Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Sonu Sood and Vaibhav Tatwawaadi are playing other prominent roles in the film. A set of Brahmin groups protested recently and they ended protest after the producers assured that there is no distortion of history. Zee Studios is producing this big budget periodic drama.
