Former Chief Minister late NTR’s wife Laksmi Parvathi is made the Chairperson of Andhra Pradesh Telugu Academy. CM Jaganmohan Reddy rewarded her with the new post for all her continuous support to him and his party since its founding.
Lakshmi Parvathi is also known for her open and bitter criticism of Chandrababu Naidu all through her career. It was their bitter rivalry that led to the split of the TDP as Chandrababu overthrew NTR to become the CM for the first time.
Lakshmi Parvathi’s influence on NTR also led to many leaders distance away from the party founder and join Chandrababu group.
