Katamarayudu promotions

Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu is just a week away from grand release. What is disappointing is the film’s low key promotions. The makers have thoroughly failed to come up with a strong promotional campaign that builds up the buzz on the film. Apart from the release of four songs, there are no aggressive promotions by the core team of Katamarayudu. The pre release event will take place tomorrow and the promotions are likely to commence from Sunday. Too late too little promotions are killing the buzz that has been surrounding the film.

On the other side, overseas distributor Cine Galaxy, who acquired the film’s theatrical rights in US, is promoting the film big time. There is a solid buzz in overseas circles and the film is set for a massive opening with record number of screens on its premiers day.

Directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasany, Katamarayudu has Shruthi Haasan as the female lead. The film, an official remake of Tamil hit Veeram, is coming from the stables of Northstar Entertainment banner. Anup Rubens composed the tunes for the film.
