Telugu film Mahanati, which opened to unanimous positive reports, is all set to enter the prestigious $ 2 M club in overseas this week. After embarking on a solid start with sensational numbers on Tuesday premiers, the film ended the first weekend on a high with $ 1.6 M haul.
On its first Monday and Tuesday, Mahanati collected $ 62K and $ 131K respectively and took the total past $ 1.85 M in overseas. Trade circles are forecasting that the film will breach into the $ 2M club in this week.
The strong word of mouth and rave reviews have set the tone for the phenomenal box office journey. Keerthi Suresh’s portrayal as Savitri and Nag Aswhin’s commendable directional skills are the biggest assets for the films.
