Despite the complete negative talk regarding Brahmotsavam coming from all over, the Mahesh Babu-starrer has surprised one and all by proving to rake in the moolah of box-office overseas. The film reinstates Mahesh’s position as the king of the US market as the film becomes his sixth release to cross the coveted $1 million mark at the box-office. While there’s a long way to go for the distributors to break even, it still is a milestone.
Srimanthudu, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Dookudu, Aagadu and 1:Nenokkadine were his earlier films to reach the mark.
Interestingly, even Samantha is proving to be a huge draw at the box office as this marks her ninth $1 million film after Attarintiki Daaredi, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Dookudu, Manam, S/o Satyamurthy, Eega, Theri and 24. It is interesting to note that two of her films were with Mahesh Babu and Brahmotsavam marks the third.
Well, this is definite proof that box-office numbers do not reflect the fate of a film!
