Veteran actor Mohan Babu has been sentenced one year jail in a cheque bounce case by Erramanjil Court, Hyderabad. Mohan Babu issued a cheque for director YVS Chowdary as remuneration and the cheque bounced. Despite of several attempts, Mohan Babu failed to pay the due after which Chowdary approached the court.
Soon, Mohan Babu applied for bail and the court granted him bail. YVS Chowdary directed Manchu Vishnu’s Saleem and the film made on a budget of Rs 25 crores ended up as a dud. Mohan Babu was not in a mood to pay the remuneration to Chowdary after the film ended up as a dud. Mohan Babu issued a cheque of Rs 41.75 lakhs for Chowdary in 2010. Mohan Babu recently joined YSRCP and is campaigning for the party currently.
