Two IMP questions raised by VH

1.Why is Andhra Pradesh government grabbing agricultural lands from farmers from Amaravati region to Bandar to Bhavanpadu to Bhogapuram?

2.Why is it that T-CM’s home district Medak stands first in farmers’ suicides?

Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao has an answer. He says Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is hell bent to prove that agriculture was waste and real estate was beneficial.
“From 1994 to 2004 Naidu wanted to prove that agriculture was waste and refused to come to the aide of farmers who were in distress because of successive droughts. Result was thousands of suicides by farmers. Now, Naidu revived the ‘agriculture-waste mission’ and acquiring the lands from farmers. Only farmers are to be blamed for not understanding the meaning of Naidu’s misison,” he said in Khammam while participating in a Dharna along with TPCC working president Bhatti Vikramarkha.

On Telangana, Rao said CM KCR’s district stood number one in suicides. “It is unfortunate that too many farmers have committed suicide from Medak, CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s home district. Instead of instilling confidence among the families of farmers, the KCR is busily engaged in luxury world tours,” VH accused. He asked T-government to look into why farmers in Medak were so depressed than those of other districts and why was KCR leadership not able to reassure them about their future. According to Rao, people in Telangana do not feel that the TS government belonged to them.

The T Congress MP and former united APCC president said it was painful that TRS government was trying to misinterpret the suicide of Limbayya. He suggested to TRS government that it should not insult the farmers who committed suicides. ” Treat these tragedies as a matter of Telangana self-respect’,”he said.

Rao has a word of caution for his party colleagues also. He asked party senior leders to make it a point to visit every house of the farmers who fell victim to the crisis. “It is responsibility of all those Congress leaders to meet the families as they were the right persons to console them for having been in power for ten years,” he said.
