Natural Nani was extremely impressed with the stuff of Jersey and he immediately signed the project. Gowtam Tinnanuri is the director of this sports drama and Nani plays a struggling cricketer Arjun in this real life story. The actor decided not to take any remuneration and wished to share the profits of the film. The film’s teaser made a huge impact and the makers inked lucrative deals in the recent weeks.
Nani is said to take Rs 10 crores pay cheque home for the film as per the early estimates. The digital, satellite and Hindi dubbing rights are already sold for record prices and the theatrical rights are quoted for decent prices. Jersey’s complete business is expected to touch Rs 50 crores mark. The shoot of Jersey will be wrapped up by February and the makers are in plans to release the film in April. Sithara Entertainments are the producers and Anirudh Ravichander is the music director. Shraddha Srinath plays the heroine in Jersey.
