Balakrishna absent for Chay Sam reception

The reception of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha was held yesterday in a grand style in Hyderabad. Who’s who of Tollywood graced the event to bless the newly married couple. Among the notable absentees for the event is star hero Nandamuri Balakrishna. Neither Balakrishna nor his family members attended the event and this is raising many doubts among industry circles and media.

Since the past few years, the duo is not in good terms. The cold war started when Balakrishna was miffed over non printing of his name and photo in the felicitation event of ANR organised by TSR. However, Nagarjuna recently clarified that he has no enimity with Balakrishna and asserted that they are in good terms contrary to media speculations.

But, Balakrishna’s absence at Chay – Sam reception makes one feel that he hasn’t buried the hatchet with Nagarjuna. Given that Balakrishna returned to Hyderabad from Vizag after wrapping up shooting for Jai Simha, he could have easily attended the event had there been no issues with Akkineni family.
