Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ambitious project ‘NTR’, a biopic which chronicles the life history of legendary Telugu star NT Rama Rao, is all set to start rolling from July 5th.
Ever since director Krish Jagarlamudi took charge of this biopic after Teja’s unceremonious exit, the pre production activities got a filip and the team is currently busy with finalising the cast and crew.
Earlier, there have been reports that the biopic will feature Rana Daggubhati, Sharwanand, Mahesh Babu and Mohan Babu in prominent roles reprising noted persons who were contemporaries of NTR in his political and filmy careers.
Now, it is learnt that Krish and Balakrishna are planning to rope in Keerthi Suresh for the role of yesteryear actress Savitri. It is well known that Keerthi Suresh has stunned everyone with her uncanny resemblance to Savitri in Mahanati. So, she is the first choice for NTR biopic to reprise Savitri’s role.
But, is it an ideal thing to rope in the same artists( Mohan Babu and Keerthi Suresh) who have already reprised the same characters earlier ? Doesn’t it turn out to be a repetitive casting leaving audience in a sense of déjà vu ?
This is the question that has been making rounds among everyone now. As NTR biopic is a prestigious film for both Krish and Balakrishna, many are suggesting that it would be better if they opt for other artists in these iconic characters. Let’s wait and see what Krish has in store for audience this time.
